Setelah beberapa waktu yang lalu mengeluarkan versi 64Bit untuk produknya PCI Geomatica, sehari yang lalu PCI mengumumkan tersedianya software PCIGeomatica 2012 untuk versi 32 bit.
Terry Moloney, Presiden dari PCI menyatakan :
We are pleased to offer this 32-bit version to customers who have yet to complete their migration to 64-bit operating systems. This latest version improves upon our world-leading orthorectification algorithms, adds the features and functions the industry needs, and increases performance across the board using innovative multi-threaded based processing.”
Versi ini diperuntukkan untuk para pengguna yang belum siap untuk bermigrasi menuju mesin 64 Bit, tetapi dari pengalaman penulis, performance untuk 64 Bit jelas sangat jauh mengungguli mesin 32 Bit, sehingga sangat disarankan untuk pengguna PCI , untuk mengoptimalkan mesinnya ke 64 Bit dan menggunakan versi 64 Bit
